Hibbah Senior Portraits

Had a great senior session with my first ever senior rep. Ms. Hibbah in Frisco We wandered around the park till the lights were gone, and kept taking pictures despite! Little sister also hopped in for a few images and got to see the great relationship between the two really shine in their interaction. Special thanks to mom for coming along and helping out  - additionally a classic example of Kiran smoothness:

Me: "I'm not so much on this guy creepin' around my camera bag over there"
Hibbah: "That's my dad."

Anways, I'll let Hibbah's images do the talking from now on... ;-)

Mid-Key

Had a great time out with NTPC doing a studio class last week. Sigh.... wish I could do them all, but work, and work, and work, and money keep getting in the way.

LOVE. this. one. From an aesthetic standpoint, I do believe this is my favorite pose of all time.

Oh hey Blog...

Dear Blog, sorry for ignoring you for so long, but you know how it goes at the beginning of the school year. I did think of you on occassion...longingly even. I know you've been longing to hear about how the new webpage is going, or about the swimsuit shoots we did, or the baloon festival, or the ballet dancers we shot in studio.. Well let me catch you up and since I don't have the time (the will notwithstanding) to write a thousand words, I'm glad a picture is worth a thousand words - I'll make this at least a 6000 word equivalent post as I sum up the high notes. .

First up, the Miss Fort Worth Beauty contest which we had the honor of shooting.

Then, the classic cars with NTPC at the studio garage.

The ballet dancers in studio.

The "My Teacher Rocks" portrait project for the good peoples (and the really cute brunette First grade ESL teacher) at Elliot Elementary.

A quick drop by the Morning maniacs car club in McKinney on Saturday Morning.

The 2011 Plano Balloon Festival. This was my first event to put my new camera to use. I gotta say, it didn't disappoint!

And last up, I had the honor and privilege of shooting a football game for the Plano Sports association at the invitation of my good friend Sara (see previous post) to whom I am still very indebted. Her son is such a cutie, and her love for him is obvious in his irridescent smile.

Love this one:

Well, unless I've missed something (which of course I'm sure I have) those are the major happenings from the past 3 months since I last checked in with you. I hope to be better, and keep you updated a bit better in the coming months as we head into Fall (my favorite season!).

Seniors, Seniors, & More Seniors! We love it!

I gotta say I'm really excited seeing how these pictures came out. It's amazing, but I'm actually caught up in my photo processing queue! It was definitely helpful that I got sick and the Dr. made me stay home, during which time I reorganized my entire lightroom catalogue, standardized my file naming formatting, and processed like a mad fiend! I'm definitely getting more comfortable with lightroom and photoshop (though I still feel like I have a ton to learn on the latter). And I think I'm starting to get quicker at seeing what needs to be fixed, how to fix it, as well as streamlining my workflow to get it done faster. All good stuff. In these sessions I really worked on lighting especially outdoor lighting, and I think I see where I can really take it to the next level with composition and managing dynamic range. So here's a smattering of some of the most recent work I've gotten finished! I'm definitely ready to get going on some more sessions; I feel like I need more guys in my portfolio.
